HJS Call for Price

Hide the price. Collect the enquiry.

HJS Call for Price hides the price and Add to Cart button on chosen products and shows a "Call for Price" button instead. The button opens a built-in enquiry form; submitting it is built to log the enquiry in your admin and email it to you (or an address you choose) with the product it relates to, and shows the customer a confirmation. Built for the classic B2B / wholesale / made-to-order need: request a price instead of buying at a fixed one.

Key features

• Replaces the price and Add to Cart button with a "Call for Price" button on selected products - confirmed live: the targeted product's price and Add to Cart disappear and the enquiry block takes their place.
• Choose which products two ways: any product priced at 0 (OpenCart's own "price on request" convention), OR list a priced product's id in one settings box to hide it too, without changing its price.
• A built-in enquiry form: name, email, optional (or required) phone, and a message.
• The form identifies which product it is about automatically and posts with a per-session security token (CSRF-protected) to the extension's own route.
• Built to email the enquiry to you (or any address you choose), with the product it relates to.
• Enquiries are also logged in admin (last 20 shown) as a record independent of email.
• Configurable button text and an optional intro message above the form.
• One master on/off switch - turn it off and every product returns to normal instantly.
• No core files overwritten - installs as an OCMOD package, using OpenCart 4's event system.

What this extension does not do

Stated so expectations are right before purchase.

• No quote / negotiation management workflow - it collects an enquiry and emails/logs it; it does not track quote status, versions or approvals.
• No per-customer-group pricing and no catalogue-wide price editor.
• No tick-box added to the core product edit form - you target products by price==0 or by the settings id list.
• Does not block a price==0 product being added to the cart directly at the server level; the Add to Cart button is hidden.

Important - read before you buy

Real email delivery of an enquiry depends on your store's own configured mail engine, the same as any other OpenCart email; every enquiry is also logged in admin regardless of whether the email sends. The full enquiry send has not yet been exercised end-to-end on a live store at time of listing - see support for the latest status if this matters to your use case.

Compatibility

• PHP tested: 8.4. PHP 8.5 is not yet supported.
• Default OpenCart 4 theme. MySQL or MariaDB (InnoDB).
